Kurt Cobain

We take a look at Jesse Frohman's new book, Kurt Cobain: The Last Session, chronicling the Nirvana frontmans last photoshoot before his death.

This week the new Kurt Cobain book, chronicling the Nirvana frontman’s last photo shoot with renowned celebrity photographer Jesse Frohman, is circling the Glass Onion office. The book contains previously unpublished photos; alongside what are probably the most iconic images of Cobain ever taken, killing himself just 10 months later.

These photos were taken at the height of Nirvana’s fame and the height of Kurt’s addiction. Cobain turned up 3 hours late for what should have been a 5 hour shoot in various locations, refusing to remove his glasses to be photographed and the entire session was done in a make shift studio in the basement of a hotel.

To celebrate the release of this book we have put together outfits inspired by these final sessions and Kurt’s unique style that still influences fashion today, 20 years after his death.

Both outfits were styled using items from our handpick. If you would like to make an appointment to handpick your own products at our warehouse, contact us today on: 01226 321301 mail@glassonionvitage.com Appointment available 10am-4pm Monday to Friday.
